Hi, I'm Devon!

Currently I'm self employed at my own design studio, Studio Dalkeith, which gives me the opportunity to work on a range of problems across clients. Previously I worked for 5 years as the founding designer at Sonar, a Salesforce admin startup. The CPO called me after raising their Series A so he could finally have a professional manage the UX while he focused on product, and I owned design from the first design system through ArovyAI, our AI assistant. Before that I worked at Terminus, Salesforce, ArisGlobal, and Boeing, and I have a master's in Human Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech.

I've been code adjacent my whole career, and contributing to the codebase has been my white whale for 15 years. Now I prototype in code with AI, and when spacing is off I open my own pull request instead of waiting two weeks for a meeting. AI may be wrong pretty frequently, but it makes a decent design partner.

Outside of work, I enjoy conquering PNW mountains and dabbling in Python and React for side projects and home automation.
